"Such a gem of a place"
We stopped off here from a break from driving from Cork airport on route to Mount Juliette. What a wonderful place. Quite small with a bar at one side and a seated area for food at the other. The young lady that greeted us was so friendly warm and kind. I asked what ‘Blaa’ was on the menu, and she made us laugh in her adamant/proud explanation that this was a very local dish, and if we ate it any where else in Ireland it would not be the real thing. In the end I had crab and prawn open sandwich on brown soda bread, and my husband had the chowder. Both exceptional dishes, better than some 5 star places we have eaten at. What impressed us very much was the sense of true community as older people came in for lunch, who were welcomed by name, and given the most considerate service. Very very heart warming and a true testament to Irish hospitality that we have enjoyed as visitors for 20 years. Thank you to the staff at Foley’s on the Mall, we will be back

"Fantastic pub - delicious food and friendly staff"
My husband and I have been to this pub many times over the last few years and we have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and the food is always delicious. Beautiful beer garden and live music during the summer as well. Great pub - we will be back again soon! Nov 2019

"Beautiful meal & nice way to cap off a visit to Lismore"
We found this place after a simple internet search, in advance of a trip to visit Lismore Castle Gardens, and were not disappointed! A really tasty lunch (including the famous Waterford Blaa!) ending with a beautiful Kinder Bueno Cheesecake! Menu & facilities were really family & child friendly. The 200 year old bar looked amazing in its simplicity- I wouldn’t have minded sitting there for the rest of the afternoon with an aged (Midleton) whiskey! Really nice friendly service from Sharon, thanks a mil! Being from a neighbouring town (Midleton, Co. Cork) we will definitely be back soon!

"Highly recommended"
Arrived at about 7 with no reservation. Obviously very busy. Were able to give us a table for about 1 hour 15 mins which was perfect for what we wanted. Delicious food - excellent service - can recommend the Pork Belly and the sea bass special. Despite the time restriction we were offered dessert and our waitress whom I didnt manage to get her name was lovely and very helpful. Wonderful menu and will definitely be back again. Thank you ! Perfect end to a day out. July 2019
