Foley’s On The Mall

Foley’s on The Mall is a Restaurant and Pub located in the historic town of Lismore, Co. Waterford. We are open 5 days a week with food served from 12:30-8:30 daily. The premises was built in 1870 and consists of both upstairs and downstairs dining, a warm pub environment full of old world character as well as two large outdoor dining spaces; the Stone Room with a fully retractable roof and sides and the Blue Garden, our open air beer garden, perfect for a summer night in the sun with friends!

This family run restaurant has been run by husband and wife team, Eugene & Caitlin Lyons since 2014. We believe food is social and we aim to provide you with excellent food and service to bring people together for an exceptional dining experience.

 

Bar

Built in 1870, our Bar is a warm and inviting space to enjoy one of our wide range of beers, spirits and wines with friends and family. With an extensive specially picked wine list as well as our new craft beers we have something for everyone. So grab a seat and enjoy the Craic..

Our focus is to provide high quality dishes for every price range using the best of local and sourced Irish produce. With a belief that food is social, we aim to provide you with excellent food that brings people together to have an overall exceptional dining experience. Functions

We welcome groups large or small for private events in our upstairs restaurant or in our newly renovated outdoor Stone Room. Whether it is a family communion or confirmation, a birthday dinner with friends or a late night gathering in our upstairs bar we can cater for all. Outdoors

Our outdoor dining spaces are ones that have to be seen! We are proud to have two beautiful spaces for you to enjoy our amazing menu and drink selections in. The newly renovated Stone Room consists of a fully retractable roof, roll up walls and wall mounted heaters; perfect for a sunny summer day or cozy on a winters night! Our Blue Garden has seating for over 80 people and is an open air beer garden that keeps you in the sun well into the evenings! With outdoor seating for over 100 people we have options for all!

    "Such a gem of a place"
    We stopped off here from a break from driving from Cork airport on route to Mount Juliette. What a wonderful place. Quite small with a bar at one side and a seated area for food at the other. The young lady that greeted us was so friendly warm and kind. I asked what ‘Blaa’ was on the menu, and she made us laugh in her adamant/proud explanation that this was a very local dish, and if we ate it any where else in Ireland it would not be the real thing. In the end I had crab and prawn open sandwich on brown soda bread, and my husband had the chowder. Both exceptional dishes, better than some 5 star places we have eaten at. What impressed us very much was the sense of true community as older people came in for lunch, who were welcomed by name, and given the most considerate service. Very very heart warming and a true testament to Irish hospitality that we have enjoyed as visitors for 20 years. Thank you to the staff at Foley’s on the Mall, we will be back Nov 2019

    My husband and I have been to this pub many times over the last few years and we have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and the food is always delicious. Beautiful beer garden and live music during the summer as well. Great pub - we will be back again soon!

    "Beautiful meal & nice way to cap off a visit to Lismore"
    We found this place after a simple internet search, in advance of a trip to visit Lismore Castle Gardens, and were not disappointed! A really tasty lunch (including the famous Waterford Blaa!) ending with a beautiful Kinder Bueno Cheesecake! Menu & facilities were really family & child friendly. The 200 year old bar looked amazing in its simplicity- I wouldn’t have minded sitting there for the rest of the afternoon with an aged (Midleton) whiskey! Really nice friendly service from Sharon, thanks a mil! Being from a neighbouring town (Midleton, Co. Cork) we will definitely be back soon! Aug 2018

    "Highly recommended"
    Arrived at about 7 with no reservation. Obviously very busy. Were able to give us a table for about 1 hour 15 mins which was perfect for what we wanted. Delicious food - excellent service - can recommend the Pork Belly and the sea bass special. Despite the time restriction we were offered dessert and our waitress whom I didnt manage to get her name was lovely and very helpful. Wonderful menu and will definitely be back again. Thank you ! Perfect end to a day out.

    Gift Vouchers

    Gift Vouchers can be purchased for any amount in the restaurant or by phone at 05872511. Due to GDPR regulations we are unable to process any Gift Voucher Purchases online.

    Under the Consumer Protection (Gift Vouchers) Act 2019 there is a 5-year minimum expiry date for all vouchers sold after 2 December 2019. All Vouchers sold prior to this date have a 12 month expiry date and will not be accepted past expiration.
